Teacher training with KRCS adapts and builds upon your existing skills in technology so that teachers become inspired and the learning exciting.
Apple Professional Learning
Designed by educators for educators and delivered only by Apple Professional Learning Specialists, APL workshops can be single or multiple hands-on days using high quality resources created by Apple. Our APLS, Chris Smith has a great understanding of education because he is an educator himself, which is so important when delivering APL sessions. These workshops are designed to show how the use of Apple technologies can enhance the learning environment in a way that makes the technology transparent.

KRCS Professional Development Program
KRCS also offer a Professional Development Program of eight sessions across four terms to ensure your school gets the best outcomes from Apple technology whether your pupils are in-class or at home.
KRCS Managed Service for Schools
With our FirstClass Managed Service for Schools, the onsite training included is ideal for all levels of the staffing team. An agreed curriculum for the term is broken down to a number of days which is then spread across the number of devices. Chris Smith will plan your training programme with you and set out a clear vision across all Key Stages and subject areas. Each module is planned, delivered and reviewed and repeated if necessary.
Apple Teacher is a free, self-paced professional learning programme designed to support and celebrate educators using Apple products for teaching and learning. It is an interactive experience designed exclusively for teachers with curated resources, lesson ideas and inspiration from other educators. Build skills on iPad and Mac that directly apply to classroom activities and earn recognition for learning new things. Pass a quiz, and earn a new badge. It’s a fun way to track and share progress. Collect all eight badges on either iPad or Mac to be recognised with an official Apple Teacher logo. As an Apple Teacher, go even further by learning and teaching coding with Swift Playgrounds.
Everyone Can Code
Apple designed Swift to be easy to use. It lets you see what you’re creating with code as you write it, using lots of words and phrases you already know, like “print”, “add” and “remove”. Swift is not just great for getting started with code — it’s also incredibly powerful. In fact, some of the world’s most popular apps are created in Swift. Swift Playgrounds is for first-time coders, an iPad app that makes getting started fun and interactive. With built-in Learn to Code lessons, use real code to solve puzzles and meet characters that can be controlled with just a tap. The Intro to App Development with Swift book will help to start building your first app, from start to finish. Learn more
Everyone Can Create
The Everyone Can Create series from Apple saves you from having to plan a lesson, with marking resources available to download. Everything you need for a lesson is there, ready to use and you can easily amend the activities to fit in with your existing plans. They give step-by-step lesson ideas, embedding technology into the curriculum which culminates in a finished product. With no previous experience of any of the topics covered, you’ll be able to deliver a great half-term's worth of content. You don’t need to know all the answers, you just need to take a creative chance on doing something different. These Books open up a world of possibilities, that can be used throughout the curriculum. KRCS Technical Mentoring
The rise of iPad in schools has brought about many new workflows and technologies which are vital to their deployment and ongoing management, but often very new to support teams managing existing IT. KRCS have found that the best way of developing this knowledge is in your own school, where factors unique to that environment can be addressed which may not even have been covered in a classroom course. Our technical mentoring service includes an initial half day or full day of bespoke coaching in your school for up to three people, followed by continued access to your KRCS mentor for ongoing advice.
