Every student can experience iPad with Managed Service

FirstClass Managed Service for Schools is a subscription plan, and an important part of our FirstClass Programme. The service is underpinned by an industry leading MDM, Jamf Pro. By incorporating best practice techniques from Apple, we ensure that your devices are deployed, and managed, effectively and efficiently, for up to 3 years.

Whether it’s pushing out apps for an afternoon class, or updating iOS, your classroom set will always be ready to enhance the classroom experience.

You can subscribe to our Managed Service as a standalone product, great if your school already uses iPads or, you can purchase our iPad classroom set with it from the outset, for the biggest benefit.

In the table above you can see our classroom set without Managed Service. It includes Jamf Pro licenses for each device, installation and configuration, as well as 1 initial training day from our Apple Certified trainer, to get you started. With this bundle, unlike our Managed Service, Jamf Pro licenses will need to be renewed each year, and any additional support and training will be at further cost. Pricing for additional training and support will remain the same as your initial quote (unless stated otherwise).

Schools often need assistance setting up additional devices, managing updates, refresher training for existing staff members and when classes and pupils rotate. With KRCS Managed Service, you won't have to worry about any of it.

The payment structure for the outright cost is as follows. In the first year you will pay the KRCS classroom set price of £11,790.54 ex VAT which includes £1,800.09 for the first year of Managed Service support. Then, each year for the following 2 years, you will pay the same £1,800.09 for continued Managed Service support.

As you can see, the Managed Service total subscription price (based on a school compliant operating lease) is significantly lower than that of the outright purchase price.

Whilst the KRCS classroom set without Managed Service has a lower initial cost, you will likely end up paying more for ad hoc support over a 3 year period. With our Managed Service however, this is all included as continuous support throughout the period, as and when you need it.

Our team of experienced, and highly trained technicians, take responsibility for day-to-day device management tasks, so your staff can focus their efforts elsewhere. Managed Service is very similar to a car servicing plan, you pay an amount per month, or quarter, so you don’t have to worry about unexpected issues, updates or service costs. That's the peace of mind and value which Managed Service can bring.

From downloading a specific app for an afternoon class, to a full update of the schools devices, our technical team will be on hand to offer support whenever you need it. For example, when difficult tasks crop up, we’ll be ready to help you roll out a new iOS update or, create new classes of students for Apple Classroom at the start of a new academic year.

With Managed Service most device management will be done remotely, however, the 3 year subscription includes helpful additional bolt-ons. Bolt-ons can be added to the plan anytime during the 3 year subscription (pricing will be stated at the time of original purchase). If you opt for the classroom set with Jamf Pro and installation, you’ll receive 1 day of onsite training. However, if you choose Managed Service as per the examples above, then you benefit from 1 day of onsite support, Apple Professional Learning and onsite scheduled maintenance each year (9 days in total).
