The new iPad... But, whats new about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯?

Apple recently released a new iPad, replacing the previous 5th generation. With key new features and a lower price, the iPad reclaims its crown as the best overall tablet on the market today.

What's different?

At a glance you’d think there’s no difference at all, as visually, the iPad hasn’t changed from the previous generation. However, improved features and a lower cost have certainly made this a new iPad.

Performance

The previous generation was no slouch in-terms of performance, however, the new iPad has received a performance boost via an updated processor, so anything from Fortnite sessions to Keynote presentations will be a breeze. If you rely on a cellular connection on your iPad, you’ve not been left out, as the new iPad benefits from a faster cellular chip.

Apple Pencil

Apple Pencil, previously only compatible with the iPad Pro, is now available on the iPad too. Although Apple Pencil will add £89 to your overall total, you’ll be ‘hard pressed’ (ed. badum-tish…) to find a better stylus on the market today, particularly one that works so well with iOS.

Apple Pencil allows you to draw, paint and write with accuracy close to that of pen and paper. It can help you quickly and easily take to notes to creating stunning looking work in anything from Apple’s Notes app, to more creative apps like Procreate and the Adobe collection.

And the price..?

Although the speed and specs have improved, you’ll be delighted to know, there isn’t an accompanying price increase. The price remained the same in the US, however, due to currency corrections, the iPad is actually £20 cheaper than its predecessor in the UK, starting from £319 on our online store. You could then have the amazing new iPad and the Apple Pencil, all in for less than £400!

Apple have created an iPad that caters for every type of tablet user. With greater power than before, the new iPad is even more capable of handling day-to-day tasks, whilst allowing developers to create even more powerful apps and games. For £319, there isn’t a better tablet on the market today.
