Privacy and Apple devices

Privacy is a fundamental human right, so every Apple product is built from the ground up to protect personal information and give every customer the choice to decide who see's what. Privacy features and controls are built in to every iPad and Mac.

Apple devices do not build profiles of students based on their web browsing, and they never sell or share student information for any purpose.

The Apple Parent Guide to Privacy helps parents and guardians understand how Apple protects the privacy of students data and information.

Managed Service for Schools

A Managed Service

At KRCS we understand the importance of privacy and security which is why our Managed Service for schools supports and implements all of these features, including Managed Apple ID's, Device Enrolment and Lost Mode.

We work with schools to ensure the experience that students have with their device is underpinned by best in class Jamf Pro management tools and leveraging best practice from Apple.

Online Safety

Online Safety

KRCS ensure that the online safety rules applied in the classroom are also used when devices are browsing away from the school, using Jamf Safe Internet or Securly Filter.

Managed Apple ID's are for institution owned devices to allow the school to restrict or enable apps like Messages, FaceTime and limit access to the App Store, to comply with student data privacy requirements in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).

Your Child's Progress

Your Child's Progress

Seesaw, Showbie and Apple Schoolwork are assessment apps used in schools around the world. Some of these apps allow parents to see from home the learning journey and progress of their child. This can have a positive effect on the well being of both student and parent, shaping the culture of the learning environment.

Parental Contributions

Parental Contributions

Many UK schools have improved learning outcomes by providing every student with an iPad, often partially funded by parental contribution. A low monthly subscription can include a rugged case, warranty and insurance in addition to the iPad itself to support personalised learning for every pupil.
