The Synology RS1221RP+ is a storage solution designed with businesses and IT enthusiasts in mind. Powerful - with redundancy and service continuity features - the RackStation range is built for space-sensitive deployments. It’s equipped to deal with heavy workloads with intense I/O and when deployed with the optional RX418 expansion units - it can save space without scrimping on power or features.

The RS1221RP+ is only 38cm - it will fit most shallow depth enclosures. It’s powered by an AMD Ryzen quad-core processor and comes with 4GB of RAM which is upgradable to 32GB - giving it the capability to grow with yours or your businesses needs. With redudnant power capability - Synology High Availability (requires 2nd identical unit) enables automatic minute-level failover and ECC memory paired with Btrfs file system ensure higher reliability and snapshot capabilities to help simplify data protection and prevent data corruption.

The RS1221RP can be upgraded with optional NVMe or SATA SSDs for boosting read/write speed via caching - increase I/O speed with an optional upgrade to 10Gb Ethernet connectivity and the drive capacity can be increased with the separate purchase of the RX418 expansion unit which takes total capacity to 12 bays.
