Get Coding with KRCS
23rd November 2026 | 1330 - 1600 | Caludon Castle School
In association with Castle Phoenix Trust, we invite teachers and senior leaders to join us for interactive sessions at our free coding event to celebrate European Code Week.
We'll take the fear out of the coding curriculum with Swift Playgrounds and Sphero programmable robots and you'll get your pupils coding in the classroom with confidence, the very next day.
Discover practical classroom strategies and the power of Apple Swift Playgrounds on iPad. Get creative with Sphero BOLT robotics, and explore the growing role of AI in coding. We'll also share how training can support your coding journey, before wrapping up with next steps and a Q&A session.
As well as being an Apple Distinguished School, Caludon Castle School is an Apple Regional Training Centre. KRCS are pleased to be supporting future learning events with the Trust as part of their programme of sessions over the coming academic year.

Meet the team
We're delighted to be joined by Apple Professional Learning Specialists (APLS) David Maguire and Phil Sparrow, who work alongside schools across the UK on the successful implementation of iPad into lessons, and our very own Glyn Rozier, Education Partnerships Manager, who works with schools and colleges to help them integrate Apple technology.

David Maguire
While in his role as a Primary Headteacher, David became an Apple Professional Learning Specialist. He successfully implemented a 1:1 programme across Key Stage 2 and saw first hand the impact that technology had on pupils.

Phil has worked in primary schools since 2013 and an Apple user since 2005, who helps drive impact in schools on teacher workload, inclusion and accessibility, as well as being a reliable voice for educators for pedagogical and organisational practices.
