Caludon Castle School

Caludon Castle School

At Caludon Castle School, the goal was simple: give every student the tools to succeed, no matter their starting point. The school introduced a one-to-one iPad programme to make learning more accessible, creative, and independent—both in and beyond the classroom. It’s helped students take ownership of their work, build confidence, and engage with learning in a way that feels natural to them.

In the classroom, iPad has transformed how teachers teach and how students learn. Staff can model work live, share resources instantly, and give students the freedom to create, explore and work at their own pace. For many learners—especially those who previously struggled—this has removed barriers and unlocked new levels of confidence and creativity.

Connecting Classrooms and Community

Alongside this, the school introduced Apple TV and Trilby TV to bring everything together. Teachers can instantly mirror work to the screen, making lessons more visual and engaging, while Trilby TV helps share student work, celebrate success, and communicate key messages across the whole school. The result is a stronger sense of community, where students feel recognised and more connected to school life.

Support from KRCS has been key throughout the journey since 2003. From device management with Jamf School to staff training and ongoing support, we’ve helped ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This has allowed teachers to focus on what matters most—delivering great learning experiences—while continuing to build confidence in using technology effectively.

So having Apple TV has unlocked really creative practice in classrooms where there's an immediacy about learning. Where students can see the modelling from the teacher and can see the sharing of best learning practice amongst their peers. Trilby TV does mean that every aspect of school life comes together at a central communication point. Every child is in a classroom for five hours a day, in fact more at times. Having that port of call, that moment in time where they can look on the screen, see key messages, see key celebrations and hear from different stakeholders in the school has really created that sense of community, participation and celebration.
